Can everyone be hypnotised or enter a trance? All of us go into the trance state naturally on multiple occasions during the day. Hypnosis is just a state of relaxed awareness. We go into trance when we are driving, when we are reading, when we are watching television etc.

How can Hypnotherapy help me?We all have a filter/ automatic sensor within our minds which is known as the Conscious Critical Faculty (CCF) The CCF monitors all incoming information and filters out any contradictory incoming information. That means if any information contradicts your currently held beliefs and opinions, it will simply get rejected and will not pass through to your subconscious mind. With hypnosis we are able to bypass the Conscious Critical Faculty which allows then positive ideas, beliefs and suggestions to pass through to your subconscious mind to effect positive change in your life.
-
Is Hypnotherapy safe?Hypnotherapy is completely safe and you will remain fully alert and in control throughout the session. Hypnosis provides us with a safe, effective and manageable tool for self-improvement and healing. A hypnotic suggestion cannot make you do anything that is against your own moral code of ethics.

What is the Initial Consultation for?The Initial Consultation (IC) sets the bedrock for designing a customised treatment plan for your individual needs. There are three parts to the Initial Consultation. First, we are gathering all relevant information during the consultation to enable appropriate treatment for you. The information gathering process enables us to get more relevant information on what you would like to achieve by seeking therapy. The second part of the IC covers a discussion about how the brain works in relation to what you are experiencing at the moment, how we can suffer in the way we do and how hypnosis can help you. The third part of the IC is a hypnosis recording that will be given to you, which forms a vital part of the therapy process which will be discussed in more detail during the consultation.
