Fears and Phobias

Living with fears and phobias is limiting and leads to inhibition. A certain amount of fear, realistic fear is serving us and is of utmost importance for survival. Fear is a basic survival mechanism and intrinsic to the evolution of humanity. It only becomes problematic when the fear transmutes and becomes an irrational fear or a phobic response. These conditions are nerve-wracking. Fear and phobias become a limitation and a prevailing, habitual and subjective state of expectancy, which can then be projected onto almost any aspect of life. When living in constant fear the brain’s survival mechanisms become hyper-aroused and trigger the release of stress hormones such as adrenaline and cortisone. Unrealistic fears and phobias can become incapacitating. Fears and phobias can be transcended fairly easily with Hypnotherapy
